Outfits Round Up

I did warn you in my last post that the Boden Alice shoes would feature heavily in my round up so there are no surprises here!  They really have been a great addition to my wardrobe.  I reach for them so much, I love that they don't fall off as easily as a ballet pump when I'm sitting.  I'm almost worried I may tire of them but that's not stopped me wearing them so far.  Needless to say, they've been worn with jeans - a lot!

The TK Maxx Finds

I always seem to find some amazing deals in TK Maxx.  Maybe it's because I give it that little bit more time than normal shops to hunt out those bargains or maybe I'm just lucky.  Either way, I do love the shop.  My local store had these gorgeous Birkenstocks in, I thought the patent red was gorgeous. They weren't my size (I need a 36 please anyone?) but they do seem to get drops of Birkenstock's in fairly regularly if anyone is in the market for a pair.  They were £24.99 (from memory.....apologies!).

Then I found this gorgeous shirt by Victoria Beckham.  My sister was with me and they had one in her size so she was very lucky that day.  I have looked online and in stores since and never seen it again.  I was a tad jealous to say the least, but at least someone benefitted from my find!  It had a waffle style print to it, subtle but more substantial than a plain white shirt and was £54.99.

I've just had a lovely few days away in Bath.  For some reason while I was there I looked up the local TK on my phone as had a feeling it might be a good one and I was so right.  It was small but the Gold Label (high end items) were brilliant.  I was so excited, I completely forgot to take any photo's, but there was a Victoria Beckham dungaree dress, pieces by Helmut Lang, Zoe Karssen to name but a few and the largest number of designer sunglasses I've seen in one of their stores.  I didn't walk away empty handed.  I am on a mission to only buy skirts/dresses at the moment as that's an area lacking in my wardrobe.  I found this Moschino polka dot one for £19.99 from £110.  The pictures of it on the hanger really don't do it justice, I will share it on one day soon.

I also grabbed this Marc Jacobs t-shirt for £24.99, RRP £90.  I love the frill detailing on it.

Any one else had some luck their recently and which towns were they from?

Marc Jacobs, Cath Kidston & Ugg at Bicester Village

If you are a Marc Jacobs fan then get yourself down to Bicester Village as they've just opened up a new shop there.  I am a huge fan of the village, not the least because it is also very close to me but also being the bargain hunter that I am, it does have some great finds.  You can't always guarantee  to find the bargains but I seem to have a nose for them!  It was a very colourful Sunday when I went a few weeks back, the whole place seemed to have that Spring feel.

The Marc Jacobs shop had a full range of products from handbags to accessories and a rail of clothes.  They had his diffusion line; Marc by Marc Jacobs as well as some pieces from his main line.

My favourite top there, silk £117 from £195 (40% discount)

I wasn't on a mission for much that day, I just went with a friend to catch up and have a browse.  I purchased the below from Cath Kiddston to post to my sister as a little treat and the kind sales assistant gave me some cute paper bags and stickers to wrap them up in, how lovely!  Service like this always impresses me, it's all about that little bit of something extra to make your customers feel appreciated and satisfied.

Completely not on the look out for a new handbag (but always keeping one eye firmly open) I popped into Ugg who seem to have a bargain bin out of late.  They have been selling off samples at hugely reduced prices.  Having worked in Buying for many years, I am used to samples and a lot are pretty much nearly the finished item, so it never really bothers me.  I spied the below at £35, they had others in the store at £60 but this was a sample.  That day they had 20% off handbags for Mothers Day so I cheekily asked if mine was included.  Yes it was!  £28 for this leather beauty.  My friend said I was mad to walk away but being the Capricorn I am, I do like a little ponder.  It was held for me whilst I wondered around the village.  After putting in a call to the husband and confirming he was in fact planning to go to Tesco that afternoon for my Mothers Day present (nooooo, I need no more aprons or tea-towels with I Love My Mum on) so I said not too, I had found a bargain.  Pennies saved from Tesco bits and invested here instead.  I was lucky enough to still receive some beautiful flowers and cards on the day also.

I have already used my bag, proof for me it was meant to be if I use it within two weeks of owning.  The body of the bag is nice and light, it's the chain that carries the weight.  I didn't realise until using  it that the chain also clips off so you can thread it through and make it shorter to a little arm strap.

Jumper; M&S kids cashmere
Jeans; Gap
Boots; Sam Edelman
Bag; Ugg

L.K.Bennett, Marylebone High Street

I had the pleasure of being invited to an L.K.Bennett fashion evening at the beautiful Marylebone Hotel last week.  As with most things in my life, it was a rush to get out the house but once I got there I was greeted and welcomed with drinks and canapés (my favourite food, bite size little nibbles, keep them coming!).  The hotel is a little hidden gem if you are near the area and looking for a boutique style hotel, it's part of the exclusive Doyle Collection.  I have to say my favourite photo I took was that of the animal print chair in the toilets!  I do love an animal print.

Please can I have one???
Ok and on with more important things than interiors; the shoes, the clothes, the colour.  I want to go shopping!  I love that their pieces are individual enough to wear alone but still work well together.  The show was put together by the staff at their Marylebone High Street store themselves, how dedicated to have staff willing to do this?  I guess it speaks volumes about the brand.

NB I am not a photographer by trade, my photo's reflect that but you get the gist!

I love the blue and gold together
They match their clutches to their shoes oh so well
Colour pop court!
Sleek and sophisticated
And on the model, stunning.  A timeless classic cut
Working those ankle boots with abstract print and bold colour
I LOVE this coat
Gorgeous striped fur, really adds some character to the dress
Working that tailored suit in the monochrome trend
Bright orange is still a key on trend colour
I love this look.  Chic pencil skirt with a twinkling pretty top
Hello purple!
Of course the show wouldn't have been complete without the staple LBD
Ooh la la!  Look at those leggings and spangly top!
Letting the rear view do the talking
I of course wore my L.K.Bennett shoes.  Their second airing in less than a week.  I wanted to dress them down slightly as I did have a commute to do (in ballet pumps!) so wore my Ralph Lauren chino's but picked out the pink/nude colours from the shoes in my Warehouse top.

Accessories were kept minimal, it was all about the shoes.  Just a few bracelets (Tiffany and Marc Jacobs)
Just peeping through is my Hugo Boss black belt, a charity shop find from Marylebone High Street!  (And Lizzie the cat getting in the way again).
I love Marylebone High Street, it feels so different to the normal hustle and bustle of say Oxford Street. Like 'old London'.  Think fromagerie's, hidden parks (like the one at the end of the Notting Hill film when they are on the park bench!) and some great boutique style shops.  Drop into L.K.Bennett, you can be sure that Natasha (store manager) and her amazing team will give you a very warm welcome.

PS this is not a sponsored post, I was just invited and I like to share.  Just in case anyone was thinking that this was a tarnished view!

Some Marc Jacobs and Todays Outfit

With the day being a bit cooler, I opted for my Ralph Lauren chino's, boy have I lived in these.  Originally featured on this post, they have washed and worn well and were worth every penny and probably a few more.  I opted to add my print on my upper body as that is where I wear it best on my frame, balancing out my proportions.  It was a comfy outfit, which even received a compliment when I popped in to get my fringe trimmed at the hairdressers!  (Head chopped off as pre-fringe trim photo!)

Top, Vest & Belt; Topshop
Chino's; Ralph Lauren from TK Maxx
Sandals; New Look

For some reason I failed to share with you my sale find from Harrods, what came over me?!  Marc Jacobs has always been a favourite of mine so when I saw this leather bracelet with the words 'sale' next to it, it called out my name.  Originally somewhere in the £90 region, it was £36 in the sale.  I love that it is fully adjustable as having slender wrists I've always struggled with bracelets.  The studs and belt designed clasp just add the edge that Mr Jacob's does so very well.  It came in a variety of colours but I decided I had colour in other accessories, but I was missing a fail safe, go with everything.  It's been worn a number of times already, I love it!

Worn here with my Tiffany bracelet (bought by my lovely friends for my hen party 8 years ago - and I'm still wearing it!  A timeless classic)

From Tesco to Louboutin!

I live a varied life, variety is the spice of it so they say!  I ended up being oh so controlled at London Fashion Weekend.  Some beautiful scarves by Sara Ebbett and Emma J Shipley grabbed me, but not my purse so apart from some charity popcorn I left emptied handed.  Jlynch had some amazing belts as well.

Not one to leave the big smoke without making the most of it, I spent some time in Selfridges having a little dream!  I love their shoe department, the mix of brands, the luxurious atmosphere, but for me it's that I can actually lay my hands on brands like Chanel, Christian Louboutin, Balenciaga.  Here's some pictures to capture the lux!

I tweeted this from Topshop's Limited range the other day, even more delicious in the flesh!

A little skull from McQueen
