Camel Coat Update

Where would we be without School Run Mums and their fab style?!  One of the lovely Mums at my daughters school was wearing a gorgeous camel coat.  Naturally I stopped her in her tracks quizzing her.  It was from Next of all places so I dashed to my local store.  The sales lady said I wasn't the first to ask for it but they'd all sold out.  My poor friends up and down the country also tried their local stores but I was told it would eventually come back in stock.  I checked daily, literally.  Finally it was there but with a 2-3 week wait and in a Petite so I've ordered it.

The comprise with this one is it's only 30% wool.  I knew I'd have to give something up to get a good fit and coloured one under £100.  This is only £65 but it looked so chic and smart that I decided it was worth it.  So the wait ensues and I'm now just hoping that when it comes in it fits.  As with all things, when you stop looking, they appear and straight after ordering this one, I saw this one on a Gap email.

With 60% wool I don't doubt this pea coat will be warmer.  However it's also £99.95.  Having just had a 20% off at Gap I missed out however there's usually a 30% off just around the corner.  It is a bit more casual than the Next one but a good alternative so I need to check this one out in the flesh. Not for me as it looks a little longer but including it in case someone is also on the look out, another Gap one.  This is only 37% wool and is £109.95.

And lastly from Gap, this is 80% wool so a warm coat for £124.95.  I love a wrap style, the belt instantly gives you shape and can smarten up whatever's hiding underneath.

I will update as soon as I receive the Next one - I'm hoping it's 'the one'!  Has anyone else found a decent coat for under £100?

  1. I loved the look of the Next one but felt it looked abit cheap on me, also came up very big. Uniqlo have some lovely camel coats this yr; have you tried there?

    1. Oh no! I didn't have long enough with her to properly look at it, maybe it's going to be a no then! There's some gorgeous one's at Uniqlo. at least 3 actually. I need to check out their returns policy - they would weigh a lot to return but that's definitely an option, thank you! x

  3. I had that one along with the Primark one at the same time and I decided that I didn't look as nice in the Next one as I did the Primark one. It felt a little stiff on me but that aside it was a nice design which was why I ordered it. It might fit you well though - I think you probably suit something with a little more structure.

    1. Oh no - it didn't look stiff on my friend, here's hoping then! Yes, being petite I do need some structure as I can get lost in more tent like styles x

    1. I'm thinking the same now. Nothing arrived from Next yet and no further discounts on the Gap ones, I'm hanging on in there x
