The Mega Sandal Order!

I ordered big!  House of Fraser had an additional 10% off for card holders, I was getting desperate and there was nothing in the shops so I ordered 7 pairs!  Just in case you've missed my last posts, I have a beach wedding to go to at the end of the month and so I've been after some blingy sandals to go with my dress.

From L to R; Steve Madden, Carvela, Ravel, Dorothy Perkins and Office
I am not well at the moment so I'm not really thinking straight (yes, for those that know me well, I never really do anyway I hear you shout) and hate forcing a decision.  So at the very least I whittled it down to the ones that fit and sorry to say, those sparkly Gina look a like Carvela gems did not fit.  So I have two to decide on.  I also hate buying items just for one occasion so my gut is loving the black and white pony skin the most, regardless of the fact the gem ones go perfectly.

I do like to mix it up a little hence the pony skin is still winning by a mile at the moment!
Then I raided my wardrobe just one last time - just in case.  I bought these Dune shoes in the Winter sales and they are yet to be worn.  So not right for a beach but apparently the bride is wearing mega heels later on in the evening as we are at a 'venue' of sorts.  So I'm contemplating these for a moment too.

Then I decided to just try on the 'doubles' (I bought two sizes in styles that had both available) and testimony to how not with it I am, I had completely forgotten about my favourite Steve Madden ones that I had put under the pony skin box as I just assumed it was the other size!  So here are the white pony skin with gems.  I love them, but they so don't go with the dress.....

So what do you guys think?  I need to cart the big box back to the post office ASAP (I hate returns hanging around for long) as I am too embarrassed to do a store return with this lot!

Sale (well mainly TK Maxx!) Finds

I'm not sure what made me trail through the TK Maxx clearance sale on line, however I'm glad I did.  With free delivery for an over £50 spend (easy!) and free returns to store, I doubled up on shoe sizes so as not to miss out!

Dune (TK Maxx) £96, down to £44.99, price to me £18!

Real suede, I love the nude colour for Summer

After seeing this close up and my little toe cleavage I am now slightly unsure - or am I being to picky?

French Connection (TK Maxx) £140, down to £39.99 price to me £18!

Such a classic cut LBD, I've been looking to update my faded one for a while now

Love the detail on it, just add's something else to it instead of it being a 'plain Jane'

Love love love!  Worn the day after arrival, real suede £18!  Honestly! (no idea of brand,  it didn't matter in this instance!)

Oh dear.....Bertie, can't remember the original prices but I paid £26

They just didn't work for me, but it's all about trying!

Whilst returning the brogues (Victoria Beckham inspired me!) I walked away from the till and straight into this Whistles number - honestly, it was right in front of me!  £150 down to £29.99, 100% silk (lover of all good materials, silk and cashmere being my favourites) I headed straight to the changing room.  It had a slight fault on the back with a faint line across the print, however this is hardly noticeable and as I wouldn't pay the full £150 I am in love!  Having a design on my upper body is perfect for me as I have little in the breast department so can get away with a print and high neckline.  Similarly, the bottom half is a dark colour (more flattering on me as my widest part is my hip area) and plain, therefore overall balancing my petite frame out.   I threw in my trusty All Saints heels to give lots of height, but I feel this dress would work just as well with a court.  I can not wait to wear it.

Whistles (TK Maxx) £150, TK Price £29.99 (not in Clearance)

Trying to strike a pose (just don't zoom in on the un-shaven legs...)

Original label still in tact and a close up of the amazing colours

And finally my M&S vests......boring I know, but an essential for me and my wardrobe.  I always stock up in the sale, they work out at £2.50-£3 each so at that price they are worth buying in bulk.

I'll be back with more bargains soon (nearly finished spending my birthday and Christmas money, then I'm on a self inflicted ban......)

Shop Window Inspiration

A little round up from my week off, here are some of my favourite window displays from our capital.  On route to Hamleys of course (if not once, twice, several times, I was reminded it was not ''Mummy's'' day out - special trip minus the baby sister) so I had to get my small fix of fashion from the shops windows as I was dragged past (sigh).  Don't forget window displays, they really do give you a brief insight into what styles are now and to come.  That aside, they also give you some fresh ideas on styling your own wardrobe.  They are a trick not to be missed people!

Oh what the hell, it's too hot to hit the shops so I'm dreaming and trawling the internet instead!  Moody baby day so we haven't been out (one day she will appreciate the waste of a beautiful day!) and to be honest, I have neglected the legs again so they weren't ready to be seen in daylight anyway.  Here are some of my fab finds.  Thankfully a gift voucher from Debenhams has worked it's way to me so I feel some shoes and a few years too late the Chanel Particuliere nail polish being ordering......I think I need to get out more.....

My Rushed Outfit!

So I had my first outing the other night post baby and had only 20 minutes to look half decent! Planned the outfit whilst feeding so threw on leggings, tunic, cropped leather jacket and boots combo but the make-up needed a little more work. Having had just pressed powder on in the day, I used my Bare Minerals over the top (no time to strip and start from scratch) and it worked a treat! Neutral eyes and then I used my Chanel lip liner as wanted a bit more colour on the face, but felt my lippy was too bright for the occasion (a school mum had invited me to a little village fashion show to raise funds for the pre-school). Not sure where the brain wave came from (very infrequent these days!) but I put some lippy on my hand then next to it some Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream and used the lip brush on the end of the liner to mix and brush on my lips. It was subtle, glossy, not sticky and stayed put! Horrah for actually using the lip brush supplied with the liner (my Mum will be so proud!). There was also enough left on the brush for school run the next morning! A touch of my favourite Laura Mercier hand cream - no need for an over powering perfume for such an event and I was good to go. You really do get what you pay for, that hand cream just lingers, even after a hand wash. I just love it!

I have just purchased some of Marks & Spencers no VPL pants - lush! Brazilian cut are my favourite, more than a thong, less than a pant! Off to buy some more, at 3 for £10 they are not at all bad price wise. I fully recommend.

Tunic and grey top (just seen underneath) both H&M, Leggings - Topshop, Boots - Dune, Jacket - Miss Selfridge, Bag - Balenciaga
