I was off out to the Backstreet Boys film premier/concert last week - yes, honestly, I love them. I don't get how people can like music then disown it (I am fiercely loyal in all walks of life!). Damn it those boys can sing and not only that, they still can 22 years later......that's just a little 'in your face' for all the haters/laughers out there he he he! I knew I was going to have an hour or two spare before hand to wonder the streets of London so needed comfort yet wanted to feel a little smarter than just the jeans and t-shirt I had on. My old faithful Zara coat did the job along with my vintage hat find from last year. I literally had a beaded style t-shirt on (ok and a thermal vest) underneath as I do get hot on the tube etc. Throw on my cashmere H&M scarf for extra neck warmth and I was good to go.

For my regular readers - spot Lizzie the cat! |

I love how animal print really can just add something to an outfit without making it too much. This Alice Temperley scarf was the perfect addition to my otherwise fairly bland outfit. I don't ever feel 100% comfortable with a lot of black on so before I ran out of the house to a client, I added this scarf. The print brought another dimension to the look and as it has a lighter stone colour in it, it also took the eye away from my black bottom half.

I think this scarf was called the 'panther' print, it's a few seasons old now |
22 years ago really??? Was I born!?!?! I agree, animal print is brill at pulling an outfit together and giving it that little bit extra. So cross that I sold my leopard print coat last year. Fab outfits Natalie x
ReplyDeleteYes really! That long! Oh you didn't Donna, why oh why, it's a classic! Thank you x
DeleteReally love your style. That leopard coat is perfect...also, I love seeing your cat lizzie.. I once had a gorgeous black rescue cat and she was so skinny when we got her I named her Lizzy (as in Thin Lizzy) she too was never far away from me bless her. She lived for about 20 years!
ReplyDeleteOh thank you! My little Lizzie was named after a very close friend, long story! I hope she goes on and on - 20 is amazing! She and her brother are my first pets, 10 this year and she has got so clingy with age, she is always by my side. Didn't get it with pets but I so do now, they are so part of our family. x
DeleteLove the leopard print coat...I bought one from M&S this year and have loved wearing it!! You so suit that hat too! xx
ReplyDeleteYou just can't go wrong can you! x
DeleteI still love them too & have bought every album over the last 22 years! I was only 10 when they started out but they got me hooked. Mind you I'm also still a massive take that fan. Loyal to the core. Must get it from Mum - she's been a dedicated Osmonds (esp Donny) fan since they emerged & she still goes to see them when they come to the UK. I've even seen them twice plus Donny on Broadway!
ReplyDeleteYay fellow BSB fan! Me too - tickets to see TT later this year also! I was brought up with Neil Diamond and seen him so many times too, this year also. The year of great live music for me! X
DeleteGorgeous coat! Not sure I'd be brave enough to wear so much leopard print but it looks great with the black jeans and boots x
ReplyDeleteSo long as you keep everything else really simple when there's this much print involved, you'd be absolutely fine! x
DeleteTwo stunning outfits Natalie. As a fellow leopard print lover you can't go wrong with a splash of Bet to bring an outfit to life & it really does take it up a notch or two.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a fantastic time at the concert.

Most definitely - Bet all the way! X
DeleteThat scarf is gorgeous, just absolutely gorgeous! I don't remember you wearing it before? And are you serious? 22 years? Ye Gods, who'd have thunk it?!
ReplyDeleteI've had it a few years now - it has Alice written on it too - my youngest's name so I HAD to buy it of course! And yes, 22 years, cool huh! x
DeleteI live animal print. You look fabulous in each of these outfits, Natalie. Just gorgeous! Lynne xx
ReplyDeleteAh thanks Lynne. X
