The Tesco Round-Up!

Well, I am not sure what is wrong with me but I seem to be on a right old mission at the moment - there is just so much out there I like!  I have a whole host of clothes to share with you but I will start at the cheaper end (and probably the most forgiving, just pop a top in with the food shop - your payment for doing it right Mums!?!?).  I've always been a lover of a little bit of Tesco clothing, their cashmere in particular.  Being petite I do struggle with sizes but none the less I was searching in the name of research so picked out my favourite pieces to share with you.

Sue featured this amazing top over on her blog in the pink, I loved it.  Unfortunately I wasn't sold on this colour on me.  It just does nothing for me and does come up slightly large in size as it's a forgiving t-shirt style.  It's a great in-between top, not a tee but not a dressed up top.  The cut is great with little side splits and a half zip up the back.

Denim dresses are everywhere and for £20, this one is great.  So easy to slip on and a great thick denim. Belt comes with it too!  I came up too long on me but I am a shorty!

£20

This cropped jacket looked very cute on the hanger.  It is however very thin and I wouldn't trust it would last that long.  For the price, you get what you pay for but I think there's better out there.

£18

Now I love loungewear, I would wear it out if my old stuff was even remotely acceptable so I am always looking out for something that just might work.  Like the above jacket, this is thin and I wasn't a fan of the material but the beading is gorgeous.  It is slightly cropped and more a charcoal colour than black.
£16

Matching trousers anyone?!

£14

Of all that I tried on, this was the one I loved the most.  100% cotton and we know how much I like my natural fibre compositions, the style was so flattering.  It comes up slightly large but then that is the style.  For £14 this is an absolute bargain and a classy little number to add to anyones wardrobe.

£14
Now maybe someone can help me, I swear I read somewhere that the new 'Tesco Boost' permanently included being able to double up your vouchers for clothing - was I dreaming?  Please say not so that I can pop back and grab the above for £4!

  1. The white top at the end is lovely - my only concern is that it might be a bit see-through? Sometimes I've bought cheap white tops and then not worn them because you can see everything underneath! I love Tesco clothes though. It's a great place for baby clothes too, especially babygros and vests and basics like that. They wash and fit really well!

  2. Ah the hardships of being small - I feel your pain Natalie. The denim dress would have been too long on me as well and the difference of an inch or so can make such a difference to how something looks and feels.

And never mind you about the pink shell top - I still haven't worn mine - definitely need the sunshine to make me brave enough to wear it. Love my white version though - put it through the test yesterday and had it on from 8 till 8 and not a crease in it. Brilliant!

Love these posts that you do - thanks for doing the legwork!

  3. Totally agree re the last top, it's gorgeous and deffo a "me" top. I also love the tops that Susie bought, I've been meaning to buy one so must get on to it! Thanks for the round-up, I don't normally buy from Tesco, the cashmere jumper was the first thing ever! x

  5. Oh I LOVE these kinds of posts - thanks Natalie for being our virtual fitting room! I get my groceries delivered as I despise supermarket shopping but I have been known to nip in for a 'pint of milk' ::wink:: now and again - mostly after Sue's been in and spotted something!! And I've just checked and we're a bit short of the white stuff so I might have to check my local Tesco tomorrow :) xx

  8. Oh you have shown some lovely things here. I really like the first top, and the denim dress.

And YES! club card vouchers can be exchanged at the desk for twice the face value if using on clothes... Hmm which reminds me, I have a £5 one on the hall table... Methinks I'll be visiting tomorrow to hunt out the denim dress...:-) xx

  9. Such a great post and as everyone said, thank you for doing the legwork! The only Tesco that sells clothing is a bit of a schlepp for me, so it's good to get your comments first. I have the first top you showed, in both the pink and the white and I love them so much (have only worn the white so far) that I think I may get another just to have as a spare. A really useful bargain for a change! Hope you get the top you want

  10. LOVE the loungwear things and the little jacket. I may have to do a swing by our Tesco this week - all in the interest of purely reseach.... Hmm.! Still loving my sandals I got there last year. Hopefully they'll have some more x

  11. The last top is a keeper - I like tops that are sometimes a bit thinner - my inner teenager coming out!

  12. Went back today with the aim of doubling up but nope, they ended it at Christmas apparently! Honestly, I swear it was a permanent fixture! She said that they will probably do it at Easter again so based on a few too many purchases this month, I am holding back. Should it be meant for me, it can wait until double up! Staying strong!
Oh & on the 'see through' point, as it has a few holes (!) it definitely requires a vest underneath, however being a bit of a granny, I always wear a vest anyway! It definitely is great for the money though, I'm just being tight! x
