I think I mentioned a few posts ago that I'm trying to stick to a strict budget and buy a few really decent pieces a month (I took February off after the January sales and started back properly in March!). So I've already shared this & Other Stories merino jumper but I hinted at the other purchase, my second pair of Ash boots! They weren't planned, I saw them in the Next sale at £80 down from £160. I wasn't 100% sure due to not seeing the colour in the flesh so as it was free delivery to the store, I popped them in the basket.
They weren't the colour I was expecting and weren't perfect, the tassels had fallen off on one side, the ring was missing, some slight scuffs on suede but Next's Customer Service team were faultless in rectifying this and I ended up getting them for £30 - WOW! A trip to the shoe menders later and just like my black Jalouse one's, they are rarely off my feet. The colour is great for coming into Spring, I am ridiculously pleased with them. The colour varies in different lights so taken a few snaps to try and show them.

I still adore this Miss Selfridge coat I bought in the January sales, initially I thought the fur hood was a little too much but it's grown on me so much, I just love it.
April has started well with the Bargain Buy currently featured - the Boden grey merino. I have a breton on back order from them but my goal this month is bottoms. I've never enjoyed shopping for them, I always struggle but I need to make an effort as I live in my favourite Topshop ones and even I'm getting a little bored right now. Will update next month on my April buys!
What an utter bargain those boots were Natalie, they are so perfect for taking you through until the proper Spring weather arrives!! They look ace with your new sweater too! The Boden bargain Merino looks so similar to the J Crew tippi sweater....it's a steal at that price!! xx
ReplyDeleteWeren't they just! I actually tried the Tippi but in a really light colour but sent it back as was really see-through, the grey may have been better but wasn't on sale. But yes, is it very similar x
DeleteGotta' confess that I'm really jealous of this bargain! They look great - your good health to wear x
ReplyDeleteThank you Helen, very pleased with them x
DeleteWOW, now that's what I call a true bargain!
ReplyDeleteEven the husband couldn't argue with that one - he tried but quickly gave up x
DeleteWow didn't you do well....I have a very old pair that really need replacing, shall have to see if I can track some down too! Helen xx
ReplyDeleteI reckon they will come down when the weather heats up some more so don't rush into buying them, you never know your luck! x
DeleteThese boots are basically what I've been searching for the last couple of months! Perfect for spring going into Summer. Saw another similar pair in Aldo as well. Can't believe the price you got them for!! X
ReplyDeleteWorth keeping an eye on Next x
DeleteI love them and what an absolute bargain! Lynne xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Lynne x
DeleteYou lucky Duck! These must be the bargain of the century! I invested in a Parka last year & really don't know how I survived without it this winter! x
ReplyDeleteMe neither, I'm actually missing the snuggles from it now it's warmed up x
DeleteWow, you did really well to get the boots for just £30, they look fabulous! I always keep an eye out for branded footwear in the Next sale - I got a pair of Ash Virgins for £70 at Christmas, and when I put some gift vouchers towards them they worked out very well! I love your coat too, you can't beat a massive faux fur hood for keeping the chill out xx
ReplyDeleteI will be from now on too Becky! x
